Pinterest wants its users creating original content for Pinterest, not repurposing content from other platforms. Pinterest may not have the rights to certain songs or audios that Pinterest does, and this can be a slippery slope legally. If you choose to post TikToks on Pinterest, you have to be very careful with the audios. There are a few risks that come with posting TikToks on Pinterest. Instead, I’m going to lay out what I know and what I’ve seen as a frequent Pinterest user so you can make the best decision for yourself and your business. There isn’t a clear yes or no answer to this. Surprisingly, that answer isn’t as simple, and we’ll discuss that later in this post. However, the real question is if you should be posting TikToks on Pinterest. It may seem like a really good idea! Plus, like many other platforms, Pinterest is definitely favoring short-form video content right now as seen through Video Pins and Idea Pins. There are a few different ways you can do it, too.
